This high mountain accessory cottage was remodeled into a timber-framed, clay/straw accessory dwelling. The owner wanted to convert the original structure into a “grandparent or nanny suite.” The goal of this project was to build a healthy, highly efficient natural home using reclaimed materials. This was achieved by installing triple-pane windows, utilizing reclaimed siding, and superior custom carpentry.
Owner's Goals:
Preserve the quaintness of their original log cabin while updating and expanding the home.
